ISO 11140-1 Type 5 Integrating Indicator for monitoring Steam processes. The indicator strips monitor whether sterilisation conditions were met at the point of placement of the strip. The indicator strips are intended for use in steam sterilizers operating at 121°C and up to 135°C. Type 5 integrating indicators react to all critical variables (time, temperature and moisture) and reach an end point indicating exposure to sterilisation conditions as defined by True Indicating's stated values. The indicator can be used as a strip, label or both for record keeping post-exposure. Distinct color transition from pink to dark resulting in the word "NOT" disappearing. True Indicating integrating indicator strips contain no lead or other toxic heavy metals.
